The Hong Kong International Computer Conference (HKICC) has been organized by the Hong Kong Computer Society since 1978 to provide an open platform for IT professionals in Hong Kong and the region to present their research papers and to share their experience. It aims at fostering an understanding of the latest technology trends as well as promoting the industry's professional standards.
The Society has adopted the dual location concept since 1994. Two sessions have been organized for each Conference with the first session held in Hong Kong and the second session in a major city in Mainland China. In the past few years, the conference has been held in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Chengdu, Beijing, Dalian and Qingdao respectively. Through these twin sessions, the conference has successfully promoted experience and knowledge sharing between IT professionals in Hong Kong and those in Mainland China.
