MailMonitor detects, reports and disinfects viruses in email sent via an SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) server on Linux/Intel. Infected attachments are either quarantined or automatically disinfected before delivery to the recipient. Comprehensive messaging allows MailMonitor to notify administrators, senders and recipients of any viruses found. MailMonitor for SMTP on Unix can find viruses in attachments compressed with ZIP and other popular compression utilities.
