HKMA Website Copied Twice

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) has warned about two fraudulent websites with the domain names www.cntv.cn.com and bdwm.info that look similar to the HKMA official website. The HKMA has denied any connection with the sites and has reported the case to the Hong Kong Police Force.

The www.cntv.cn.com site is hosted in China and the domain registered to Zheng Rongwen in Jiangxi Province. The bdwm.info site is hosted in France, and the registration information is protected by a privacy service.

Reports of crime linked to these sites can be made at any local police station or the Commercial Crime Bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force at 2860 5012.
